In June, we purchased the 100' high-pressure misting system with stainless tubing, the SM200 pump, and a box of .004 and .006 misters based on Jeff's recommendation.
We live in Northeast Texas, where summer temperatures regularly approach 100°F and the heat index can reach 105–110°F with the humidity hovering around 62%. We have a fully covered back porch with a 9' ceiling and ceiling fans, but during July and August, the heat and humidity made the porch almost unusable.
The system was fairly easy to install and took us about 3–4 hours, mostly because of all the ladder time. We initially installed the larger .006 misters on half of the porch (the side where our animals spend time) and the smaller .004 misters on the other half. The difference was noticeable. The larger misters provided better coverage and didn't evaporate as quickly as the smaller ones.
I ended up replacing every other .004 mister on the non-animal side with a .006, and that made all the difference. We are still fine-tuning the system, but the larger misters definitely seem to work better in our hot, humid environment.
Our dogs can stay outside without getting hot, and we can actually sit outside and enjoy the porch again. During the hottest part of the day, the system definitely helps, although it's hard to make a 110°F heat index feel great! Once the sun starts to drop behind the trees and temperatures fall into the mid 90s, though, the difference is amazing. I'd estimate about 15 degrees difference in temperature.
So far, we are very impressed with the system. It has made our back porch much more usable during the summer, and we would definitely recommend it to friends who are considering a misting system.

System was easy to install. I should have tested my water beforehand because I had to purchase the scale filter which has so far helped. The mister system works fine in the hot Arizona sun.
I bought the SM200 with 80 feet, 40 misters. Having very hard water I had to order the 3 canister filter. And then a fan. This makes my patio usable! The fan is louder than expected, but it works! Very comfortable.
It's currently 103° in my yard. And I'm siting here in a 78°- 82° bubble!
Best decision I've made in quite a while!
