I was shopping for a misting kit and ended up deciding on this model based on the many solid reviews. Granted the price was great as well but the comments about how the owner handled things personally really impressed me.
I opted for the stainless tubing with a couple extra fittings For a custom install and it went flawless. Everything is plug and play so it all fits together fast and easy. I needed to make two custom bends to fit some corners and was able to use a simple bending tool I had on hand for doing brake lines.
We tried the system out a couple nights ago at 85F and ended up turning it off an hour after the sun went down because we were all actually shivering, so the system works great. The water temperature plays a part in total cooling so I’m thinking of using the flexible tubing that came with the kit to build a cooling coil inside a bucket I can load up with ice.
So, these high pressure systems are not cheap but they do work, and they work well.
P.S. It’s worth noting that one of the final selling points for us was the idea that the misting system would also reduce the amount of flying pests in the area. We didn’t run the system long but i wasn’t bothered by any of the tiny little gnats that plague our property. Once I shut down the system, we were inundated once again and we called it a night shortly after. That added bonus is just icing on the cake and we could t be more pleased.
We look forward to many years of service and are very thankful to have gained several more weeks of enjoyment from our firepit.
Couldn’t ask for anything better. The system was easy to put up and it instantly cools down my patio. Customer service was also great, Jeff literally answered my questions in less than 5 minutes via email.
