VFD ( Variable Frequency Drive ) Pump

Our VFD ( Variable Frequency Drive ) Pump is the most advanced commercial misting pump on the market.  Whereas a typical commercial pump has a rather narrow range within which it can operate ( Nozzle size and quantity ), our VFD pumps have a  considerably wider range . This is because the system will sense the demand from the nozzles and slow down or speed up the pump accordingly.  

 A VFD pump can operate with considerably fewer nozzles than the standard pump with no adverse effect on the pump.  Standard pumps typically cannot operate at less than 50% of their capacity. VFD pumps on the other hand can safely operate at only 25% of their capacity.  This is extremely useful for the following applications:

• Misting multiple zones independently or together. Example: 2 patios and a gazebo
• Providing the ability to change out the nozzles to various sizes to adapt to changing seasonal conditions

 

Neither of these scenarios are possible with a standard commercial pump.
